The expansion of Bertone’s French Riviera hub will bring additional production, engineering and artisanal capabilities alongside the existing Centro Stile, showroom and client experience activities.
Roquebrune-sur-Argens, France — Bertone is expanding the capabilities of its Roquebrune-sur- Argens Atelier, reinforcing the site’s role within the company’s growing design, engineering and coachbuilding ecosystem, in support to the active operations and production capabilities in Italy.
Already established as a host for Bertone’s Centro Stile, client configuration sessions, private viewings and collector experiences, the Roquebrune-sur-Argens facility has become an increasingly important point of connection between the brand, its clients and its current generation of automobiles.
The next phase of development will significantly extend the site’s operational scope, complementing and reinforcing Bertone’s existing Italian production activities, specialist partners and industrial network.
Driven by the continued growth of Bertone and the commercial momentum of its limited-series portfolio — further accelerated by the introduction of the new Runabout — the Roquebrune-sur- Argens Atelier will progressively integrate additional production, design and engineering capabilities.
The expansion will include a dedicated workshop supporting vehicle assembly and development, together with specialized areas for paintwork, surface and metal finishing, and coachbuilding bodywork. A state-of-the-art upholstery and trimming department will further strengthen Bertone’s ability to manage bespoke interiors and individual client commissions
with greater control under one roof.
These additional capabilities are being developed as part of a broader operating structure in which Roquebrune-sur-Argens works in continuity with Bertone’s active production activities, engineering expertise, specialist suppliers and industrial capabilities in Italy.

FROM CLIENT EXPERIENCE TO COACHBUILDING ATELIER
Roquebrune-sur-Argens has already played an active role in Bertone’s relationship with its collectors.
Clients are welcomed at the Atelier for private vehicle presentations, configuration sessions and direct interaction with Bertone’s design team. The location has also become an important base for the development of Bertone’s customer journey, allowing collectors to experience the automobiles against the roads and landscape of the French Riviera.
Its strategic position between Monaco, Cannes and Turin connects the facility directly with some of Europe’s most important automotive, design and luxury communities. The expansion now brings the physical creation of Bertone automobiles closer to the environment in which they are conceived and commissioned.

REINFORCING BERTONE AS A MODERN COACHBUILDER
For Bertone, bringing design, engineering, artisanal craftsmanship and production activities closer together strengthens control over quality, shortens the distance between creative intent and physical execution, and gives Bertone clients greater access to the process behind their automobiles.
The expanded Roquebrune-sur-Argens Atelier will therefore serve not simply as a showroom or manufacturing site, but as an evolving Bertone environment: a place where automobiles are designed, commissioned, developed and crafted.

LEADERSHIP STATEMENT
The development of the Roquebrune-sur-Argens Atelier will support Bertone’s current limited- series programs while establishing additional capacity for future automobiles and bespoke projects.
More details regarding the expanded facilities and their capabilities will be communicated as the development progresses.

EDITOR’S NOTES
Founded in 1912, Bertone is one of the most influential names in automotive design. Under Nuccio Bertone, the company shaped some of the twentieth century’s most celebrated vehicles, defining a design vocabulary based on sculptural purity, expressive geometry and cultural resonance. Throughout its history, Bertone created landmark models for Lamborghini, Alfa Romeo, Lancia, Ferrari and Fiat. Cars and designs that have become icons of global automotive culture.
The concept vehicles and limited-series work positioned Bertone as both a pioneering design house and an artistic institution.
Today, Bertone enters a new phase as a producer of ultra-limited coachbuilt automobiles.
This chapter is reinforced by the Ricci family’s advanced engineering and industrial capabilities, which strengthen the brand’s technical foundation and ensure coherence between design vision and execution. From its atelier in the French Riviera, Bertone integrates design, engineering and prototype construction under one roof.
