Two days. Two sides of the Runabout.
Bertone joined TuttoBene Hillclimb for a weekend that brought together design, performance and contemporary car culture between Stresa and Mottarone.
The first day placed the Runabout within the elegance of Stresa, surrounded by an exceptional mix of cars, collectors, designers, brands and enthusiasts.
It was an opportunity to appreciate the Runabout first as a design object. More importantly, it created conversations. Meeting long-standing Bertone enthusiasts alongside a new generation of car lovers reinforced what makes events like TuttoBene particularly relevant: car culture becomes a place for genuine connection.

Then came Mottarone. The atmosphere changed from contemplation to action.
A hillclimb asks very different questions of a car. Elevation, braking, acceleration and apex after apex put engineering, balance and driver confidence at the center of the experience. Here, the Runabout moved beyond its role as a sculptural object and demonstrated the other side of its development: performance.
On the mountain, those principles could be experienced rather than explained. And for Bertone, there was something beautifully familiar about the sight. A wedge carrying the Bertone name, carving its way through a mountain road, inevitably evokes one of the most extraordinary chapters in our design history and the spirit surrounding the Stratos.
TuttoBene has created something increasingly rare: an environment where important automotive brands, extraordinary cars and genuine enthusiasts meet without losing the spontaneity and passion of car culture.

Our head of Sales and Marketing, Matteo De Feudis on the event: “For me, TuttoBene was a bullseye. It gave us exactly the context we were looking for: on day one, the Runabout could be appreciated through design, culture and the people around it; on day two, it had to prove itself on the mountain. That progression mirrors the development of the project itself. Our role in communication is to be the eyes of the community inside that journey, finding the right words, activations and experiences to share each step as it happens. Seeing the Runabout on Mottarone, surrounded by this level of cars, brands and people, made it clear that Bertone is moving in the right direction.”
For Bertone, this made the weekend it was about placing the Runabout exactly where we believe it belongs: at the intersection of design, engineering, lifestyle, heritage and driving culture. Our story around the Runabout has evolved together with the car. From its reveal and design philosophy to coachbuilding, personalization and lifestyle, each stage of development has given us another dimension to share.
